Area students put their intellect to the test on Wednesday at the annual Principals' Cup competition at the University of Great Falls.

At the event, 33 teams from 20 schools competed in categories including math, science, language-reading, and history.

The five-member teams answered trivia questions in an elimination style contest.

Matt McCale, principal at Centerville, said, "This gives a great opportunity for the kids to come up here, and believe me they are competitive. They come out here with fire in their eyes and they are ready to go and so are their advisors. I've seen coaches get pretty excited and that is great that's the spirit that we want to have here."

Great Falls High School's team #2 beat all the competition today and came home with the Principals' Cup trophy.

Team members included Ben Zieske, Vince Carey, Karch Lockerby, and Alekses Clifton.
