Lewistown police are investigating a stabbing that took place after an alleged sexual assault earlier this week.

According to Lewistown Police, a 911 call on Thursday night reported that a man had been stabbed in the abdomen.

When police arrived, they arrested a 27 year old man on a charge of assault with a weapon.

The Fergus County Sheriff's Office said the man's name is Felix Van Slyke.

The man he allegedly stabbed, 22 year old Jacob Stough, was located several hours later and transported to the Central Montana Medical Center.

Stough was later released from the hospital and arrested on three warrants.

A woman who was present at the time of the stabbing reported she was sexually assaulted.

Authorities also say an 18 year old female was arrested for obstructing a peace officer and misdemeanor assault.
