Olympic soccer star Abby Wambach will be in Great Falls for the next several days, and Bowser Brewery has something special for her if she decides to stop in.
Bowser Brewery created a special beer for Abby's arrival; it's called Abbie's Urbock.
Owner Evan Bowser says it's perfect for Wambach because it looks harmless and is smooth but it has quite a kick with 7 percent alcohol content.
Bowser noted, "We wanted to do this for Abby. I really think Great Falls is a great town and a great community and I want people to feel over-the-top welcome so they will come back and bring their friends back."
Bowser says he will offer the beer while Abby is in town, September 8th through the 13th.
He says he'll have a "growlette" waiting for her if she decides to come in.
UPDATE, Tuesday, September 11: we've learned that Wambach did indeed visit Bowser Brewery over the weekend and enjoyed her namesake beverage, and reportedly told Evan that having a beer named after her was quite an honor.
(PS - welcome, Sports Illustrated visitors!)
