The Cascade County Commission is set to appoint two new members to the Airport Authority Board.

Ed Buttrey and Susan Humble's terms ended on December 31st. Right now there are eight applicants in addition to Buttrey and Humble who can re-apply because members can serve two consecutive terms.

The Airport Board is made up of four city-appointed members and three county-appointed members and they each serve for three years.

County Commissioner Bill Salina noted, "I think that people know that the international airport is an integral part of our community and our industrial base, and the community values that, so they hope that they have good responsible representation."

The board applicants are: Richard Evans, Michael Flaherty, Peter Fontana, Brian Hoven, Ben Ives, Deb Kottel, George Slater, and Joseph Tropila.

The appointments will be made at the county commission's meeting on Tuesday, January 12th.
