One play, that's all that stood between the Great Falls Chargers and their first State Championship in 33 years. Unfortunately Missoula's Ben Roberts made the one big play.

Great Falls took Missoula to the bottom of the 9th in Wednesday night's State AA Legion Baseball Championship, trailing 4-3 with two outs and the tying run on 3rd. Tucker Cook stepped to the plate, hoping to end the tournament the way he started it, with a game winning hit.

Aaron Johnson, Chargers Manager, "I thought Tucker had a chance, he's been a clutch kid for us all year and I couldn't think of a better guy to have at the plate, he hit it right on the screws but unfortunately it was right to Ben Roberts in centerfield and that's baseball, it doesn't come down to one play, it was an entire game. Tyler Stanich just battled for us and the whole entire team, organization did a great job this year and we're going to be back here, we'll work our tails off and continue to get better and better and hopefully next year we'll win this thing."

The 2nd place finish was the highest by a Great Falls team since the 1997 runner-up Stallions. Great Falls hasn't won a State Title since 1977.
