The Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office used divers on Friday morning to search the pond at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park one day after a dead body was discovered floating in the water.
On Thursday morning, a caretaker reported an object that looked like a body was floating in the cemetery pond.
Deputies called in the Billings Fire Department who then recovered the body of a deceased male, who has not yet been identified.
Detective Sgt. Sam Bofto said that the divers with the Billings-based U.S. Water Rescue Dive Team were conducting a grid search of the pond to look for anything out of the ordinary.
An autopsy on the victim is currently underway. Results of the search and the cause of death are expected to be released later this afternoon.
