Eagle Mount in Great Falls offers a variety of programs allowing children and adults to focus on their abilities, rather than their disabilities.
One of the most recent additions is keeping program participants light on their feet: ballet.
Since Molly started participating in ballet, her mother Jodi has noticed big improvements in her behavior.
Jodi said, "I think the first week or two she was just kind of on the floor laying around, whereas this one she actually got through the whole practice, which is a first, actually."
The ballet program has been around for several years, but started a new partnership with Eagle Mount in October.
There may be a bit more music, repetition, and laughter than in a typical ballet class, but instructor Karen Thornton still has high expectations for her performers.
Karen said, "You have to learn what first position is and what third position is. I expect them to behave, I expect them not to chew gum and to come to class and not to sit down during class, all those things that a typical ballet teacher would require."
At the end of February, the students will showcase their talents as the opening act for the Spirit of Women Day of Dance.
