Flooding in Sun River

Flooding in Sun River began after 1 am on Wednesday.

Water across the main road is now three to four inches deep, and signs have been posted advising people that water is covering the roads in some areas.

A few residential roads in town are closed as of 9 am, but the main road through town still open.

Water is higher in some residential streets and approaching houses.

One car is almost halfway submerged.

Mick Johnson with the MT Department of Transportation says he expects flooding to remain in Sun River for at least a week.

We will update you with more information soon.
