Former Presidential candidate Rick Santorum visits Great Falls

GREAT FALLS - Former presidential candidate and U.S. Senator Rick Santorum visited Great Falls on Thursday as part of a fundraiser for Echoz Pregnancy Care Center's banquet to speak about his pro-life and pro-faith values.

He says he feels the pro-life movement is all about being there to love the baby, the mom, and everybody in the situation.

However he says no matter what decision is made, it's important to provide support for that person.

Santorum called Echoz a "jewel" in this community, and said, "Not many communities have crisis pregnancy centers that are there to meet the needs of mostly these young girls, who are in very difficult situations, who really in some cases have no one to turn to, and these folks are here, non-judgmental, will take you as you are, whatever decision you make we're going to be here to support you, but we want you to have all the information you need and know that you have support if you decide to move forward or even if you don't."

Santorum was the runner-up in the GOP race for president in 2012, finishing behind Mitt Romney.

When asked if he is considering running for the GOP nomination in the 2016 Presidential race, Santorum said that he hasn't ruled anything out at this point.

Lindsay Love of Planned Parenthood Montana says she believes Santorum is a politician who feels more qualified than women and their healthcare providers to make women's healthcare choices.

Love added that she believes Santorum doesn't represent Montana values.
