Frontier Airlines will be returning to Great Falls International Airport in the summer of 2013, and with a larger aircraft.
Great Falls airport officials say that Frontier will use a full-size Airbus 319 with 138 seats, which is about 40% more seats than the regional jet they used for Great Falls service this year.
The flights from Great Falls to Frontier's Denver hub will run from May 16th through October 1st.
The 2012 Frontier flights to Great Falls served more than 26,500 passengers, according to a press release from John Faulker, the director of the Great Falls airport.
The added competition of the airline drove average ticket prices down by about 5%.
Nationally, airport officials say that ticket prices increased by 6% in the same period.
