Great Falls family being reunited with missing dog after 3 months

Tim and Amy Braulick of Great Falls never could have imagined they'd be reuniting with their dog Lucy next week, after losing her while visiting Kalispell nearly three months ago.

The Braulicks say that Lucy managed to roll down the window and jump out of the car while they were driving along U.S. Highway 2 in Evergreen up in the Flathead.

They didn't realize she was missing until they picked up their daughter in Kalispell, and then spent countless hours driving to, in, and around Kalispell in search of Lucy, without any luck.

All the phone calls they received from people who thought they'd spotted her, or had found her, ended up being for different dogs - not Lucy.

That is until this week, when the Flathead County Animal Shelter brought in a dog matching Lucy's description.

Amy said, "I was skeptical. We had had so many people say, 'We have your dog.' I said, 'I need to see pictures.' Once I opened up that page [of pictures], I took one look and saw her eyes and her ears, and said 'that's our Lucy!'"

Tim recalled, "It was like, 'Wow! Look, it's her!'"

Two of the Braulick's relatives will be picking Lucy up soon, and she is expected to be reunited with her Great Falls family early next week.
