The City of Great Falls Leaf Pickup Program is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 31, 2011 and continues through Friday, November 18, 2011.
For those residing within the Boulevard District, the Natural Resources Division will vacuum leaves from the Boulevards. The City Street Division will be sweeping streets in conjunction with the leaf pick-up.
Residents within the Boulevard District area are being requested to deposit leaves on the boulevard next to the curb and not in the street gutter. Please do not place leaf piles in the street gutter since rain and vehicles driving on the piles make it impossible to clean up the leaves. Branches, grass clippings, garden waste and other yard waste will not be picked up. Please arrange for pickup with your sanitation provider.
Streets and Avenues in each area will be cleaned on alternate days. Please remove vehicles from the street and avenue on the scheduled pick-up day to allow for vacuuming as well as street sweeping.
It is anticipated that the schedule may change due to weather conditions; updates will be posted on the City of Great Falls website at www.greatfallsmt.net.

For those residing outside the Boulevard District, City Sanitation customers wishing to discard of leaves, on their regular garbage collection day should bag or box these materials and put them out for collections. Please place them a minimum of 4' from garbage receptacles. Please do not place leaves in City garbage containers. For further information, contact the City Sanitation Division at 771-1401.
All leaves collected in the Boulevard District are recycled into compost and other soil products.
