KELLER, TX - Janet Costin says she doesn't have a "real rooting interest" in this year's Super Bowl, but she's picking the Ravens.
"I think that Baltimore will win it, but I'm not going to give a score prediction," said Costin.
Fans may want to listen to her. See, Costin has the NFL in her blood. A self-described Dallas Cowboys fan, she does live in Texas after all, Janet has two family members that work for the National Football League. Her son-in-law is the Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Cowboys but fans are more familiar with her grandson, New York Jets quarterback Greg McElroy.
"It's so exciting because we've been watching him since he was a little boy," explained Costin. "He was probably in 6th grade when he started playing in California, then went on to play high school here (Texas) of course played for the University of Alabama and was drafted by the Jets."
Costin lives in Texas now, but she actually graduated from Great Falls High and still has friends in the area. She says McElroy visited Montana where she and her husband were explaining the story of Lewis and Clark.
"We were showing Gregory the big falls and telling him how Lewis and Clark discovered this part of the country. Gregory said that 'Lewis and Clark weren't real' and my husband had to explain how they had long since passed away. It turns out, Greg was confusing Lewis and Clark with the (1990s) TV series 'Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.'"
