Downtown Great Falls has released details about the 2011 Parade of Lights and Christmas Stroll.
The Parade of Lights will be held Friday, November 25, with a parade down Central Avenue starting at 6 p.m. at 6th Street and culminating in the lighting of the Christmas tree in front of the Civic Center.
The Christmas Stroll will be held on Friday, December 2, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
One of the highlights of the Stroll will be the Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Special Olympics MT; it will be at 7 p.m. at 8th Street and Central Avenue.
Santa's Village, hosted by the Children's Museum of Montana, will be at 22 Railroad Square, with children's activities courtesy of Home Depot.
A new feature this year is the Showdown Montana "Rail Jam" featuring expert snowboarders and skiers; it will be located in Circle Plaza adjacent to the Davidson Building.
