Great Falls police have captured Wayne Edward Falcon, a man who was considered a threat to police officers and the community.

On Sunday, police used the High Risk Unit in an attempt to apprehend Falcon at the Big Stack Trailer Park on River Drive, but were unable to locate him.

At approximately 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Falcon was taken into custody without incident at 1900 12th Avenue North.

Lieutenant Tito Rodriguez says Falcon was not armed when he was arrested and he tried to elude detectives by fleeing from a vehicle and hiding in or behind a tree.

Falcon, who faced a warrant for violating the terms of his suspended sentence, had allegedly issued threats to police in recent days.

On Thursday, those threats prompted County Attorney John Parker to raise Falcon's bond amount from $25,000 to $100,000.

Rodriguez says no additional charges have been filed against Falcon and he's currently being held at the Cascade County Detention Center.
