GREAT FALLS - For the first time in a question and answer format, Great Falls residents got a chance to hear from ten of the 11 candidates vying for the open City Commission seats.
The Great Falls Tribune hosted the event on Thursday night at Great Falls College-MSU using questions submitted by community members.
Discussions centered on city funding, services the city provides, and Electric City Power debt.
Mayor Michael Winters is running for his third term. He is challenged by mayoral candidates Aaron Pursell and Michael Witsoe. Witsoe was unable to attend the event.
There are seven candidates running for the two four-year seats including current commissioners Bob Jones and Fred Burows.
They are challenged by Neal DuBois, Jeremy Trebas, Aart Dolman, Michael Shell, and Don Petrini.
Current city commissioner Bob Kelly is running unopposed for the open two-year seat.
Ballots will be mailed out October 16 and must be turned in by November 5 by 8 p.m.
