- Great Falls teen missing after jumping in to Hardy Creek
An 18-year old Great Falls man is missing near Hardy Creek after jumping from a popular recreational spot along the Missouri River.
Search & Rescue crews are in the area and tell us they plan to stay throughout the night.
Officials tell us the teen was with a group of friends when he jumped off some rocks around 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
We are told his friends watched him go under and that's when Search & Rescue was called to the scene.
It was July of last year that another man died in the same spot.
Long-time residents in this canyon tell us they have come to expect this scene year after year, and crews combing the river say it's time to find a solution to prevent any more search and rescues stemming from this site.
Authorities told us that alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
The identity of the missing teen has not yet been released.
