Great Falls woman arrested trying to sell children's medication

Tera May Smith of Great Falls has been arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of children.

Court documents state that Smith, a mother of three, attempted to sell Concerta tablets that were prescribed for one of her children to an undercover agent.

Smith reportedly was to receive $75 for 10 pills of Concerta pills; after her arrest, Smith admitted that she had been selling her child's medication.

Because Smith has three children, officials from Child & Family Services went to her home where they discovered "deplorable" living conditions, including a basement strewn with dirty laundry, debris, and cat feces; the apartment smelled of urine.

The Cascade County Attorney requested that Smith's bond be set at $5,000, and that she have no contact with her children except through CFS.
