UPDATE, 10:34 am: the house fire at 327 North Rodney is now out, and no injuries have been reported.

The owners of the home are believed to be out of state on a skiing trrip, according to neighbors, but the nanny of the children was staying in the home.

Dogs in the backyard were placed in the garage for safety.

The fire broke out around 9:40 am and was out within an hour.

Damage estimates are not yet known.

The cause of the fire is now being investigated; we will update you as we learn more.

Flames and smoke can be seen coming from the top of the house.
