The Little Shell Chippewa offices, once housed in Great Falls, have been moved to Havre for security reasons, according to tribal president John Sinclair.

Sinclair says all paperwork and records were moved to the Havre office while the tribe determines if they will be able to keep the building in Great Falls.

He said nobody was going to be in the office and they were afraid of a break-in.

The elected leader of the Little Shell Alliance, John Gilbert, says he wants to hold a public forum to inform the tribe's membership of the move.

Sinclair says they're working to keep an office in Great Falls and did want to inform tribe members of the Havre office location.

He says they are working on getting regular hours soon, once they find someone to staff the office.
