GREAT FALLS - A man has been taken into custody after leading law enforcement officials on a chase on the west side of Great Falls on Thursday afternoon.
The man has been identified as Ira Henderson.
The chase began sometime around 1 p.m. as Henderson, on a green motorcycle, eluded authorities in the area between the NW Bypass and Central Avenue West for more than an hour.
Great Falls police and Cascade County Sheriff's deputies were involved.
Police were stationed at several intersections in the neighborhood.
At some point, Henderson ditched the motorcycle and began running.
He was captured shortly before 2:15 p.m.
We're told that Henderson had a warrant for his arrest, but we do not yet know why.
Henderson has several convictions dating back to 1995 in both Cascade County and Powell County for aggravated assault, burglary, robbery, and escape, according to the MT Correctional Offender Network website.
