Marnee is proud to work in Helena covering the State Capitol for Montana's News Station.

She grew up in Helena and graduated from Helena High School in 2003. After that, she enrolled at the University of Montana Helena as an accounting major. She quickly discovered the left-brained world of numbers wasn’t for her, so she moved to Missoula and enrolled in the University of Montana’s School of Journalism.

It was during her time at the “J-School” where she learned to write, shoot, edit, report, produce and anchor. Marnee graduated in December 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Mandarin Chinese.

While in college, she studied abroad in Beijing, China. She visited the Great Wall and experienced China changing and growing for the summer 2008 Olympics. She says it was one of the most amazing experiences of her life, but quickly realized she missed the simplicity of Montana.

Marnee worked various jobs before starting at KXLH. She’s managed an accounting office, gotten her hands dirty on a ranch, and worked as the executive director of a non-profit foundation. When she isn’t working, you can find her hiking, camping, fishing, snowshoeing, and backpacking in Montana’s backcountry.
