The countdown is on for the Missoula non-proft that's bringing Sarah Palin to town in September.
Teen Challenge has just over two months to get ready for the former Alaska Governor's visit and the small, faith-based organization is hoping that Palin's appearance will give its fundraising a big boost.
There's no doubt that Sarah Palin can draw a crowd, a fact that Teen Challenge is banking on to fire up funding for a major capital campaign.
Palin has agreed to speak in Missoula on Sunday September 12th to help Teen Challenge raise money for a new kitchen and dining room.
The Christian organization helps women 18 years and older give up things like drugs and alcohol to lead healthier lives. There are currently 20 ladies living in the facility, but space is limited.
One current student says Teen Challenge saved her life and she wants to take what she's learned and help other women.
Organizers hope Palin's visit will bring in tens of thousands of dollars to kick off their remodeling fundraising campaign.
"There's a lot of people who really don't like her and we understand that, but we really hope that people will realize what we do for women, and (that) this is about Teen Challenge," said group President Debra Smith.
Palin will speak in Missoula at the Hilton Garden on September 12th and tickets to the event cost $100.
