Montana Minute for November 30, 2011

- Darrell Shepherd, a semi truck driver who claims someone was chasing him the wrong way down the interstate, pleaded not guilty in Missoula.

Shepherd faces three counts of felony criminal endangerment. Several drivers had to swerve out of his way to avoid a head-on crash as he drove 14 miles the wrong way on I-90. Prosecutors say that when he was finally pulled over, Shepherd was sweating, hallucinating and yelling that he didn't want to die.

- A 22 year old man, wanted for stealing a car in Lake County, is now in jail after an early morning pursuit through Missoula.

Missoula police discovered the vehicle in the Walmart parking lot with the suspect inside. When they approached, the man ran, prompting authorities to lock down two nearby schools. The suspect was later found hiding in a small shed. His name has not yet been released.

- Thursday marks the one year anniversary of the shooting death of Montana Highway Patrol Trooper David DeLaittre.

A ceremony will honor the life of the 23 year old at David's Park on Montana Highway 2 near Three Forks; that's where DeLaittre made a traffic stop that ended in a shootout. The suspect fled and later committed suicide.
