MSU Bobcat fan launches Facebook challenge for Cat-Griz game

Fans of the University of Montana Grizzlies and the Montana State University Bobcats are likely making all kinds of bets in anticipation of the annual "Brawl Of The Wild" football game coming up this weekend.

But if you're looking for a more simple, legal, and very public way to put your pride on the line, then Scott Countryman of Whitefish has a deal for you.

Countryman, an MSU grad, created a "Brawl of the Wild" page on Facebook, where fans can agree that if their team loses this weekend, for the next week, the other team's logo will be their Facebook profile picture.

Countryman said, "It's easy, anybody can do it, you just go onto the page, like the page, and by doing that you are basically saying you'd be willing to put the other team's logo up, and boy, as soon as you do, all your friends know it, and they start commenting on your home page."

Countryman also has a poll on the page asking people which team will win; as of Saturday morning, the tally is 374 - 204 in favor of the Bobcats.

The game will air on the Root Sports channel on Saturday, November 17th, beginning at 1:30 pm.

Root Sports is carried by Bresnan/Optimum and satellite TV providers; click here to visit the Root Sports website for channel availability in your area.

The decision not to carry the game on free TV that encompasses our entire state was made by the Big Sky Conference.

We have no information on whether or not the Root Sports network will be streaming the game online.
