Montana gubernatorial candidate and former U.S. Representative Rick Hill has been meeting with economic leaders across corners of Montana since he announced his candidacy a year ago.

On Tuesday, the Republican candidate visited the Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.

Hill says one of his primary focuses with his campaign is job creation, so he decided to talk to those in the industry to get more information on the unique needs of each part of the state.

Hill said, "The issues in Kalispell and in Libby are different than the issues in Cascade County and that's different than the issues in Sidney. So the best way to learn those issues is to talk to the people that are living there and let them help identify what we need to do."

Hill continues his statewide tour this week with a stop in Libby and another in Thompson Falls.

He says he'll use the information he collects to draft economic policies, which he plans to release over the next several months.

Other Republican candidates for Governor are Rick Hill, Corey Stapleton, Ken Miller, Jim Lynch, Neil Livingstone, James O'Hara, Robert Fanning, and Roy Morton.

Steve Bullock and Larry Jent are the two Democratic candidates.

Robert Coate, Ron Vandevender, and Ronald Lassle are third party candidates.
