DelRay Saeman, 69, of Great Falls, went to join our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 23, 2013.
DelRay was a man known for his loving, caring heart and big smile. He touched many people's hearts throughout his 69 years on this earth.
He was born in Great Falls on July 1, 1944. He lived in many states throughout his childhood as his father, Emil, moved the family to wherever he could find road construction work. DelRay was married to Janice Keck Saeman from 1963 until she went to Heaven in 2002. Together, they raised two boys and spent weekends camping together as a family.
DelRay was in the Army National Guard in which he was a skilled aircraft mechanic and achieved the status of Captain. He also worked as a welder building farm equipment. He then bought a Singer sewing machine store in Helena and later purchased the Singer store in Great Falls. He sold the Singer store and started Great Falls Thermal Glass and then in 1982, he purchased The House of Glass. DelRay loved to tinker and fix things; his talent at building and creating was limitless.
In 2005, he married Blanche Robertson; together they shared a love of spending their summers at Placid Lake. They loved to travel and camp in their RV. DelRay's recent passion was spending time on his pontoon boat, but more than anything, he loved to be with his family. He was always present at any activity involving his kids or grandkids.
DelRay is survived by his wife, Blanche Saeman; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Starlet Saeman of Brush Prairie; WA, and their children Zachary, Joshua and Hailey; daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Tracy Murphy and their children Kayla, Sydney, Cody and Riley; and daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Cory Reeves and their children Sayde, Hannah, Zander and Zaiden; as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded on his trip to Heaven by his parents, Emil and Bertha, his sister, Bernice, his son, Kenneth Saeman and his first wife, Janice Saeman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DelRay Saeman Search and Rescue Memorial fund at Embark Federal Credit Union. The family wishes to raise money and awareness for the incredible Search and Rescue teams who generously dedicate their time and energy to the rescue and recovery of loved ones.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 28 at Valley Community Bible Church.
