One Class At A Time: Carli Cockrell, West Elementary

Carli Cockrell, a third-grade teacher at West Elementary School in Great Falls, got a $250 surprise recently as the first recipient of our 2012-2013 "One Class At A Time" grant.
Diane Bodnar from First Interstate Bank presented the check.
Cockrell plans to use the money to purchase binders for all of her students so they can keep daily journals and keep all their class work organized.
She said, "I was very surprised. When I had applied I never actually thought that I would win and to actually have won just really touches my heart and I know the kids are really going to benefit from having the award."
She encourages other teachers in need to apply for the grant and says the application process was quick and easy.
