The Opportunities Inc. Community Resource Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new training facility in Great Falls on Thursday.

The organization used funding from a Community Development Block Grant for the room, which will offer educational classes and training seminars.

Organizers say this year has been especially busy, with nearly 8,000 people needing services, an increase of 1,000 over last year.

Staff member Kim Reynolds explained, "We would like to see where they are lacking in their education and help them with that. If they need help with literacy, we can at least identify those and have somebody help with that. GED and cooking, and some people don't know how to iron their clothes when they are getting ready for work and some people don't know how to interview."

The new training facility is dedicated to Father Anthony Gregori, who spent more than 30 years as an Opportunities, Inc. board member.
