A strong storm along the Montana Hi-Line on Wednesday night appears to have produced a tornado.
The National Weather Service in Glasgow reports that a tornado touched down at 7:28 pm just north of Hinsdale.
NWS Doppler radar picked up the twister and a trained spotter confirmed the touchdown.
The funnel cloud did briefly touch down and pop back up into the clouds. The storm produced large hail and flash flooding in Valley County, as the storm marched through the cities of Tampico and Glasgow.
No injuries or major damage have been reported.
The storm comes just two days after a deadly tornado killed two people and destroyed buildings in the northeast Montana community near Medicine Lake.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northeastern Phillips County and western Valley County. The warning is in effect until 7:15 pm.
Shortly after 6:00 pm., Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing large damaging hail up to golf ball-size.
This storm was located 13 miles west of Frenchman Reservoir, or near Whitewater, and moving southeast at 15 mph.
The NWS cautions that this is a dangerous storm. If you are in its path, prepare immediately for damaging winds, destructive hail, and deadly cloud to ground lightning. People outside should move to a shelter, preferably inside a strong building but away from windows.
