Pretty One Productions has big plans for an expansion in Great Falls.

Krystina Thiel is the force behind Pretty One Productions; the company has helped kids soar in summer musicals such as "Peter Pan" and "Grease." Now they are ready to take it to the next level.

Acting teacher Christoph Lawton said, "More than just a summer camp, more than just a couple shows a year, really do the year-round and see what we can do for this community."

Simply saving an empty building is step one; they recently moved into new space at 620 Central Avenue in downtown Great Falls.

Lawton noted, "We really like the fact that it's got so much space. You can get tons of kids in here moving and jumping and playing."

Backers say the after-school acting program might seem like play, but behind the fun and games, there's a real lesson to be learned.

Thiel explained, "Learning theatre is so much more than wanting to grow up and be an actor. It's really about opening new pathways in your brain and so it's a good educational foundation, but fun, so they don't really know they're learning anything."

Classes are available from kids in kindergarten through high school.

Pretty One Productions will host two open houses this week on Tuesday and Wednesday (Sep 7 & 8) from 5pm to 7pm.

Classes begin September 13th. Call 799-9229 or visit the website for more information.
