The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is coming to Holiday Village Mall in Great Falls.
The people behind the business are Mike and Stephanie Wier, who have long dreamed of opening a store but never could agree on a particular one.
While on vacation recently, however, they both fell in love with the chocolate retailer, which has more than 300 locations in 28 states.
Stephanie explained, "We were on vacation in Seattle and we came across a Rocky Mountain there. We were there for seven days and we were in there store almost everyday because we fell in love with it."
The Wier's got moving quickly, noting that it will be a unique addition to Great Falls, since there are no Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory locations in Montana, Wyoming or either of the Dakotas.
And unlike other Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory stores, this store will have something other's don't: ice cream. And not just any ice cream, but Big Dipper Ice Cream from Missoula.
Mike rattled off a list of some of the other treats that will be available: "Caramel apples and fudge, store made. We will have lot of gourmet chocolates, so we will have truffles and carmel clusters, cremes, toffees and barks."
The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is ready to hire three employees, and plans to open on September 1st.
