One person has died in a rollover near the intersection of Stockett Road and Cottonwood Coulee Road in Cascade County.
The rollover was reported at about 11 a.m. on Sunday, but the Montana Highway Patrol believes the accident happened shortly after midnight.
The MHP says that the driver, a 22-year old woman from Belt, died after being ejected from the vehicle when it rolled.
A male passenger was also in the vehicle; officials say he suffered injuries from the crash, but the more serious concern is hypothermia after being stranded in the cold for several hours. The nature and extent of his injuries has not been released.
Troopers say it appears the vehicle drifted into the wrong lane and rolled when the driver attempted to overcorrect on a gravel road.
The MHP says that neither of the occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
Authorities have not yet released the name of either person, and are continuing to investigate the crash.
