The Box Elder girls basketball team continues to climb in the Class C power polls, as the Lady Bears have remained one of the top teams in Montana this season. The community is rallying around the program in hopes of their first championship since 1998. Aricka Wolf Chief has emerged as one of the top athletes on the Treasure State courts in 2012, and not even the Box Elder boys can slow her down. We caught up with the Lady Bears star in our latest Sports Xtra Spotlight.

MTN: If you were to play a game of HORSE against each of the starting five on the Box Elder boys varsity, how many could you beat?
WOLF CHIEF: "Maybe two or three of the players I could beat. I could beat all of them 1-on-1 though."

MTN: Who is your favorite athlete (H.S., college, or pro)? Why do you look up to him/her?
WOLF CHIEF: "Well, I really don't have one favorite athlete, but I like to watch Duke play because I like how their defense falls into place."

MTN: Which opponent's home floor is your favorite to play on and why?
WOLF CHIEF: "I would have to say Chinook's gym because it's bigger than the others and also because they are a good rival to play against."

MTN: Who is the toughest player you have faced in your basketball career?
WOLF CHIEF: "I'd have to say Laci Keller from Big Sandy. I played against her when I was a freshman. She's a tough player."

MTN: Do you have any pregame superstitions? Does anyone on the team?
WOLF CHIEF: "No, I don't really have any superstitions or pregame rituals. I don't think anyone on our team does."

MTN: Reebok, Adidas, or Nike?
WOLF CHIEF: "I usually wear Jordan's, but regular Nike's this year."

MTN: What is your best sports memory? (a game-winning shot, personal milestone, etc...)
WOLF CHIEF: "I'd have to say winning the 9C district championship game my sophomore year and going to the divisional tournament."

MTN: The Super Bowl is now set (New York Giants vs. New England Patriots). Who will win? Score prediction?
WOLF CHIEF: "New England Patriots and the score would be 31-17."
