November 6th marks the end of Daylight Saving Time and a return to Standard Time for most of the nation, including Montana.
That's the day that people need to set their clocks and watches back one hour - observing the "Spring Forward, Fall Back" rule.
Many electronic devices - including most cell phones - will automatically make the change; if yours doesn't, a simple power-off/power-on cycle is usually sufficient for the time change to register.
Until 2007, the return to Standard Time occurred on the last Sunday of October, but in 2005, Congress changed the date to the first Sunday of November, effective beginning in 2007.
March 11, 2012, will mark the return of Daylight Saving Time.
