Another pair of rodeo queens are ready to represent Montana around the country for the next year.
Taking the crown for 2011 Miss Rodeo Montana was 21-year-old Lorissa Harris of Shepherd, while 17-year-old Amy Hager of Clyde Park won the competition for Miss Teen Rodeo.
Both winners say their favorite event was the style show, where they are still being judged, but it's not as serious as the other events.
Even though the competition lasts only a few days, the girls have been preparing for it throughout the last year.
"You need to be able to excel at every area of this pageant and there's so much you have to know and learn. It just really helps to do all that you can to prepare for this," said Harris.
Hager says although the competiton was tough, it was a lot of fun.
"We get to know the girls, you know, our roommates, we all get to room together, and you know there's a lot of comradship that starts here and it goes on through the rest of our lives," Hager said.
The women say they're ready for a long year ahead traveling the country and getting to show their love for the sport of rodeo.
