Some college students in Great Falls who didn't get to travel home for Thanksgiving learned first-hand what it takes to make a turkey dinner.
A group of students at the University of Great Falls invited their friends who are left behind this holiday to celebrate with them.
First thing they did: call home to get their favorites recipes from their parents.
Indiana Kimjra said, "I just called my parents and they told me to salt and pepper the turkey and they told me that everyone should just do their part and and everything would go well and the turkey hopefully turns out okay."
It's an expensive meal on a student budget, but many have offered to bring a dish.
With all the advice from family and the Internet, getting the turkey in the oven wasn't as challenging as they thought it would be.
