A man escaped injury when his vehicle crashed and landed on a guardrail along Highway 191 near Bozeman on Tuesday morning.
The driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling southbound near mile maker 50; the vehicle then crossed over the northbound lane and landed on the guardrail, according to a Montana Highway Patrol trooper.
Speed was a factor and roads were slick at around 10 a.m. at the time of the crash, the trooper said.
Several other close-calls were reported in western Montana on Tuesday.
A man escaped injury when his pickup truck spun out and rolled over on Interstate 90 in Frenchtown.
The driver told Montana's News Station he was just coming down the freeway on-ramp and going about 20 mph when the truck started to slide at around. The pickup hit the slush and snow on the shoulder and rolled onto its side.
The driver was stuck inside the truck at first but neither he, nor the woman riding with him, were injured.
Shortly before noon, a Missoula woman escaped serious injury after her car spun-out in the slush and slammed into a cliff just west of Rock Creek.
