Johnny Walker, a 58-year old Democrat, has entered the race to become the Cascade County Commissioner representing District One.

Walker will be running for the position currently held by Republican Joe Briggs.

In February, Walker retired after spending 22 years with the federal law enforcement service.

Walker said that he hopes to bring a new atmosphere of openness and cooperation between the Commission office and the people of Cascade County.
