Wines By Wednesday is a new business in Great Falls that is attracting customers not just locally, but from across the nation.
It's a petite wine cellar in the back of a warehouse located at 312 5th Avenue South, but don't let the small size fool you - owner Mark Tronson says, "I like to have a big diverse offering that grocery stores aren't offering; it seems like every grocery store you go in you see the same wines."
Tronson stocks approximately 110 different labels that span the globe - from Europe to Australia to South Africa, and he has customers from as far away as Florida and Washington D.C.
But the selection doesn't stop there; the Wines By Wednesday website includes more than 350 labels.
And the origin of the name? Tronson explained, "If you order Wednesday by five, anything you order will be in the store for pick-up at Friday by noon."
And that option is very convenient for customers who live out of town, or for those who'd like a label that isn't in stock.
One of them is Alecia Malek, who said, "I think the on-line feature's great. I do a lot of online shopping; however, I like to come in and get Mark's advice. So I prefer to come into the store but for those who want to get that quick order - they know what they want, the online's a great option."
According to Tronson, about 60% of the wine cellar's business comes from online orders, but not all shoppers are looking for vino.
Malek said, "I don't just shop here for wine, there's a variety of products: salts, cheeses, crackers, pastas."
