Newly renovated Willson Auditorium nears completion

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN - After eight months of construction, the renovation of the Willson Auditorium is nearly complete.  A ribbon Cutting is planned for Thursday afternoon at 4pm.

The $3 million dollar project began last June.  It includes new lighting and sound systems, ramps and an elevator to make the facility handicap accessible, new electrical system,  and new chairs to name a few.

"We've moved definitely into the 21st century… it's going to be one of the premiere places in Bozeman and possibly the state” said Willson Technical Director  Michael Hillenious.

About 240 chairs were sold to patrons for $500 and there are still about 900 chairs for sale.  The money raised goes back into the renovation.
