GREAT FALLS -

Stacie Lee Azure has been charged in Great Falls with assault with a weapon after allegedly getting into an argument about Christmas presents.

On Friday, December 25th, Cascade County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a home for a 911 hang- up call.

According to court documents, Azure told authorities there had been an argument, and that she and the victim had "wrestled," but no punches were thrown.

The victim told officers that Azure began arguing with him about not buying Christmas presents for family members.

Court documents state that during the fight, Azure picked up a knife and threatened the victim,  who used a chair to protect himself.

According to deputies, Azure told them that if the argument had escalated, she would have stabbed him.

Azure was initially arrested on an unrelated warrant and was later charged with the assault.

Prosecutors requested that bond for Azure be set at $20,000.
