The Overland Express in Helena is hosting a special event this weekend to help raise money for the family of Charlie Ann Wyrick, a young woman who was killed in Missoula in December.

Prosecutors have charged her boyfriend, 30-year-old Emmanuel Gomez, with her murder.

Overland Express owner Phil Schneider says Charlie Ann bussed tables at the restaurant as a teenager.

Her mom is a current employee who has worked there for many years.

This weekend, there will be live and silent auctions throughout the day at the Overland, with proceeds going to help the family.

All proceeds from the auctions, along with 10% of food sales from the restaurant, will go toward the family.

"She was lost at too young of an age," says Phil.  "And we just, we're just feeling like we can try and help the family take care of some financial business.  Because we all know how expensive funerals and such are, so this is our way to  contribute."

The fundraiser is all day on Sunday, January 31st, at the Overland Express; it is located at 2250 11th Avenue.

There is also a GoFundMe account; click here if you would like to donate.

The GoFundMe page states:

Our sweet Charlie (Wyrick) was taken from us tragically by the hand of someone cruel. She left behind her sweet son Harley, who started kindergarten this year, as well as MANY family members and friends whom are having a hard time mornig this terrible loss. Our Charlie was kind, sweet, and loved with all she had. She was taken far to soon from us:( Please find it in your hearts to contribute so that we can provide her with a service that she deserves. May you rest with the angles sweetness.
