Hundreds of Tribal members from across the country gathered in Missoula this weekend, unified in celebration at the 48th annual Kyiyo Pow Wow.
Members of multiple tribes are dancing, singing, and drumming at the University of Montana's Adams Center, expressing and sharing their rich culture and proud heritage.
Dancers take this time to new old traditions and preserve what is most important to them.
Those participating in the Pow Wow say it's about unification and brotherhood amongst the different tribes.
Stephen Small Salmon explained, "It's a great feeling. When you're dancing out there, it's a great feeling. It lifts you up, you know? You forget about all your problems, and it's a good pow wow."
