Family and friends of Adam Petzack gathered on Monday to share memories of the 28-year-old military veteran.

The memorial procession began in Great Falls and traveled to Thain Creek Campground in the Highwood Mountains - one of Adam's favorite places.

Adam was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Iraq.

He was also a firefighter who served with Vaughn Volunteer Fire Department.

The Vaughn Volunteer Fire Department provided full honors for him.

The family asked people attending to not wear black or any formal outfits to the memorial.

The family has requested donations be made to Healing Hero, in memory of Adam Michael Petzack.

The money will go toward helping veterans receive treatment they are not able to afford.
