GREAT FALLS -

Bob Tester, Jr., a CMR High School graduate, was killed in Spokane County this week.

He left behind an 8-year old daughter, Kirah.

Tyler Mooney, a friend and CMR classmate of Tester's, has created a GoFundMe account to raise money for Kirah.

The GoFundMe page states:

This campaign is to support his little girl, Kirah who's childhood was taken from her that day.

Proceeds could be used either to get her help and therapy that she will most likely need and start a college fund for this Kirah.

Mooney said: "CMR Class of 2000, as many of you have now heard, on September 6th we lost one of our own to a brutal murder. Bob Tester was murdered in his own home while his 8 year old daughter was there to witness. My hope is that we get enough donations that we can start a college fund for this little girl."

Deputies in Spokane County say that Kirah was awakened by sounds of the assault, and saw the suspect over her father armed with a sword and a knife.

She told investigators the man said he was going to kill her dad, and ordered her to go back to bed. But she called her grandmother, who then called deputies.

Investigators have not yet captured or identified the suspect.
