Betty "Jean" Williamson, 76, of Great Falls, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016.

Jean was born to Gottlieb and Katherine Bertsch, on August 27, 1940. Her family moved to Great Falls from Fairfield when she was 14 years old.

It was here that she met her soul-mate and the love of her life, Joseph 'Sam' Williamson, in 1958. They were married in August of 1959. Jean made it her life to raise her four children, and she did it with the greatest compassion and unconditional love.

Jean began working for the Great Falls School District in 1970. She worked as a teacher’s aide at Skyline Elementary. From there she went on to be the Supply Clerk for Special Education until she retired in 2006.

Along with her full-time job, Jean worked for 49 years selling tickets for the Pioneer Baseball League in Great Falls; 35 years selling tickets for the East-West Shrine football games; 30 years selling tickets at the State Fair, Great Falls Symphony, Community Concerts, and at the stock cars; plus five years helping cook in the kitchen on Saturdays at the City Bar.

Jean loved working but more than that, she absolutely loved the people she worked with and the many people she met while working.
