Governor Bullock received the endorsement of the Montana Sportsmen Alliance in his re-election campaign. Speakers at the event said Bullock has always been dedicated to protecting public access and public lands.
If re-elected Governor Bullock says he would make public access and public lands an important part of the economy.
He added that he would create an Office of Recreation and Economy through the Office of Economic Development.
"I recently hired a public access specialist to ensure that we're actually getting rid of those gates where out of state landowners and wealthy landowners try to block us from public lands but also working with private landowners to try and open up land lock. And finally I've also said that there's no way that we'll allow the transfer of public lands, that won't happen on my watch," said Governor Bullock.
The Montana Sportsmen Alliance promotes stewardship of natural resources and works to preserve Montana's hunting and fishing heritage.
