Grace Home gets some help with sprucing up

Posted: Updated:

On Thursday the Grace Home in Great Falls received some new tools to help residents deal with Montana's changing seasons.

The Grace Home is a transitional home for homeless veterans.

There are currently 10 veterans living at the home, which is at capacity.

The Great Falls Safari Club and Power Tech in Belt presented the Grace Home with about $1,200 worth of yard tools.

They donated two lawn mowers, a leaf blower, snow blower, weed eater, and several hand tools.

Grace Home supervisor William Chafin says having these tools will help keep the outside looking sharp, which contributes to a positive feeling around Grace Home.

"Without the support of the Safari Club and all the other clubs in Great Falls, there wouldn't be a place where homeless veterans can come in and transition from homeless to self sufficiency," said Chafin.

The Grace Home is located at 2211 5th Avenue North.
