Lions Family FunFest in Great Falls on Saturday

The 9th annual Lions Family FunFest will be on  Saturday, July 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Lions Park.

The park is at 10th Avenue South and 27th Street. 

The event is hosted by the Great Falls Lions Clubs and Great Falls Park & Recreation.

The event is free to all all, thanks to the three Lions Clubs in Great Falls (Great Falls Lions Club, Sunrise Lions Club, and Electric City Lions Club) and numerous donors.

The event will feature food, fun, entertainment, and celebration, with an appearance by Louie the Lion, the Lions Club mascot.

Activities will include:

  • Music and live remote with BeJay/K-99, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Jolly Rogue Shrine Clowns
  • Creating an array of fun balloon art for all the kids!
  • Children’s Games and Activities
  • Prizes for every child
  • Face Painting
  • Three Jolly Jumpers
  • Drawings
  • Giveaways include bicycles with helmets, tricycles, Razor scooters, various sporting equipment such as footballs and soccer balls, and other miscellaneous items.
  • Food (nominal fee)
  • Large/Diverse Play Structure and Tots Play Structure
  • Climbing Rock

A press release from the City of Great Falls says:

The Great Falls Lions Club has worked for many years to raise funds for improvements to Lions Park including:
Provided $10,000, along with a matching grant of $10,000 from the Park Trust Fund, to build a paved parking lot leading to the Lions Park shelter facility in 1999.
Purchased nearly 30 memorial trees for Lions members planted by Park and Recreation.
Annually plants flowers and do general clean up in Lions Park.
Raised $42,000 to purchase and install a new play structure at Lions Park in 2007. The club and members donated over $10,000 towards the total amount.
Raised over $30,000 for the unique climbing boulder.
Raised $3,200 for the new lion drinking fountain.
